Tip #1:
Don’t fly American Airlines—just kidding! (But seriously, they did lose my luggage for several days, so I’m still a little salty about that.)
Tip #2:
Add an AirTag to your checked luggage. It’s a game-changer. Having an AirTag lets you track your bag, speeding up the process if it gets lost.
Tip #3:
Avoid tight connections and long layovers. Look for nonstop flights whenever possible. The fewer transfers, the less chance of your luggage getting left behind.
Tip #4:
Help the baggage handlers by removing old bag tags. You’d be surprised how many bags get mixed up because of outdated labels.
Tip #5:
Make your bag stand out! Many bags look identical on the carousel, so add something unique—like a bandana or a ribbon on the handle. And, of course, double-check that your contact info is visible and up-to-date.
